Cheryl MaesWelcome to the MSN webpage. I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit our Master’s Degree Program. This is an exciting time to be a nurse and an even more exciting time to obtain an advanced nursing degree. Because all of our courses are on-line (students come to campus three times per semester in the nurse practitioner tracks and once per semester in the nurse educator track) we receive inquires from all over the world. The fact that so many individuals residing in a global community are interested in our programs reinforces the fact that the world is our classroom.

From this global classroom students share their life experiences in nursing. If you are interested in being a part of this international group of students I urge you to read on. You can now obtain an advanced degree from UNLV in three areas of concentration: the Family Nurse Practitioner track, the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner track, and the Nurse Educator track. All can be completed in four semesters of full-time course work or six semesters part-time. Since we are now offering classes in all three tracks during the summer completing the various tracks now translated into 18 calendar months (fall, spring, summer and fall for full-time course work). We also offer an accelerated nurse educator track which can be completed in 12 calendar months. For those of you who already have an MSN degree but are interested in obtaining another area of specialization please consider our post-master’s certificate program. We offer a Post-Master’s Certificate in all three tracks.

I hope I’ve enticed you to navigate through the MSN webpage for details of each of the tracks. I also invite you to read the most frequently asked questions about graduate school (FAQ) because the information provided can help to answer some of the questions you might have about our program. However, I will be happy to talk or meet with you about our program so please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,
