The Valley Health System: Adopt-A-Student
The Valley Health System, representing Centennial Hills, Desert Springs, Summerlin, Spring Valley and Valley Hospital medical centers, in cooperation with College of Southern Nevada (CSN), Nevada State College (NSC) and University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), is offering Registered Nursing students an opportunity to be selected for the Valley Health System’s Adopt-A-Student Program.

Other Funds
The School of Nursing has been the recipient of several Nursing scholarship funds. The criteria for each fund is determined by the donor (see below) and is available upon inquiry. The availability of funds is variable. Students seeking financial assistance (scholarship or loans) should complete on application form at the Financial Aid & Scholarship Office as well as the School form. If known, please specify the scholarship for which you are applying. Award recipients are chosen by faculty utilizing donor criteria.
AfterCollege/AACN Nursing Scholarship Fund

AORN Foundation Scholarships and Grants
The AORN Foundation Scholarship Program offers financial support to students enrolled in nursing schools and perioperative nurses pursuing bachelors, masters, or doctoral degrees. With the critical nursing shortage and the cost of higher education, the AORN Foundation Board of Trustees knows it is of the utmost importance to fund scholarships for students pursuing careers in nursing and for nurses advancing their professional careers.

CampusRN Nevada Nursing Scholarship
CampusRN has launched a new scholarship program in conjunction with the creation of the CampusRN state edition network. This nationwide scholarship program is the most comprehensive of its kind for nursing programs and nursing students because it features scholarship winners from six different regions across the country in which CampusRN has launched state edition sites. NLN Dissertation Scholarships

ONS Foundation Awards, Grants, and Scholarships
The Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), the ONS Foundation, and the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) are dedicated to the professional development of oncology nurses around the world. Through the awards, scholarships, and research grants, these organizations seek to recognize those nurses devoted to the care of individuals with cancer and to the speciality of oncology nursing.

Siemens Oncology Scholarship Program at Nevada Cancer Institute
Nevada Cancer Institute in collaboration with Siemens Foundation has established four (4) $5,000 scholarships to assist undergraduate and graduate health science majors in earning their higher education degrees. The scholarships are intended to help cover tuition, fees and other reasonable costs, including required textbooks, clinical supplies and laboratory expenses. It is a one-year scholarship, payable in two equal amounts during the academic year.
