How to Login to WebCampus

  1. Open your Internet browser and go to http://webcampus.nevada.edu.
  2. Choose the University of Nevada, Las Vegas link.
  3. Enter in your WebCampus username.
    • Your WebCampus username is the same as the prefix to your Rebelmail e-mail address.  If your Rebelmail address is heyreb@unlv.nevada.edu, your WebCampus username is heyreb.  Scroll down for more instructions on determining your WebCampus username.
  4. Enter in your password. 
    • First time logging into WebCampus? Your password by default is your date of birth. For example, if you were born on April 23, 1975 your password would be 04231975.
  5. Click OK.
  6. If you are logging in for the first time, you will be prompted to create a new password.  Follow the instructions to change your password and proceed to WebCampus.

How to get your WebCampus username

  1. Go to Online Registration.
  2. Once logged in, click on the Update Address button.
  3. Your Rebelmail e-mail address will be displayed. Your WebCampus username is the same as the prefix to your Rebelmail e-mail address.
    • If your Rebelmail address is heyreb@unlv.nevada.edu, your WebCampus username is heyreb.

Note:

  • Semester courses are available in WebCampus two (2) weeks before the first day of instruction. For example, if the first day of instructions is August 28, 2006 the semester courses will be available August 14, 2006.)
  • If you make a registration change (adding/removing courses) WebCampus will reflect those changes after 24 - 48 hours.

ALL GRADUATE STUDENTS: Instructions for signing up on the UNLV Grad Nurse Infocafe listserv

Below are the instructions for subscribing to the graduate faculty/student listserv. The purpose of this listserv is to provide fast communication between graduate students and graduate faculty in the School of Nursing. *IMPORTANT!: Graduate student participants are required to use only their Rebelmail UNLV accounts. All other accounts (i.e. cox.net) will not be accepted. If you have not yet activated your Rebelmail UNLV account, go to URL: http://rebelmail.unlv.edu and follow the online instructions. By activating your Rebelmail account, you can access your account from home at URL - http://webmail.unlv.edu and type in your username and password. Make sure you send your subscription request email from your Rebelmail UNLV account or you will be unable to sign up.

  1. Address an email to: listproc@nevada.edu
  2. Leave the subject blank
  3. In the body of the email type: subscribe unlvgradnurse-infocafe <your first name> <your last name>
    EXAMPLE: subscribe unlvgradnurse-infocafe john doe
  4. Send the email
  5. You will receive a message telling you that your subscription request needs to be approved. Only Rebelmail UNLV accounts will be approved (see *Important above).
  6. Your request will be processed.
  7. You will then receive a message that your request has been successfully processed. The message will also give you directions on how to post to the listserv.
  8. The address you will need to use to post to the listserv is: unlvgradnurse-infocafe@nevada.edu
  9. You must post to the list from the email address you used when you subscribed (see *Important above). It will not work if you try to post from a different email address. Please subscribe from your Rebelmail UNLV account.

Important notes about posting on the listservs:

  • These listservs are the graduate faculty and students' main lines of communication, so please check your messages regularly - don't be left out of the information loop!! Activate Your Library Account

In order to get articles from UNLV’s online journals, read online books, search databases, and use other UNLV Libraries online services you will need a library barcode number.  Please fill out the form at http://www.library.unlv.edu/circ/distance_registration.html and a barcode will be emailed to you.

Journals and Databases

Some of the most useful databases for Nursing literature are CINAHL, Cochrane Library, Scopus, and PubMed.  These, and more, are listed at http://www.library.unlv.edu/search/eralpha.php  Both CINAHL and Scopus provide access to many full-text journal articles.

Online Books

UNLV students have access to online books from NetLibrary and ebrary, and more collections are coming soon.  You can connect to NetLibrary and ebrary at http://www.library.unlv.edu/search/eralpha.php

Another way to find online books is to go to the library catalog at http://webpac.library.unlv.edu/search~S1/ and do a keyword search, adding the words electronic books to your search.  Example: diabetes electronic books. Click on the title of the book in the list of results and you will see a link to the online book.
